Greetings Pastors, Church Treasurers, Finance Teams, SPRC, and Others -

Beginning April 5, local churches can use the Conference’s online giving platform to receive tithes and offerings for their church. This service will be free of charge to local churches for the months of April through June 2020.

To get started: Visit the Online Giving site and read the full FAQ Sheet.

You need no new evidence that the ways we live and work are changing rapidly in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Unsurprisingly, this applies to how we are “doing church” as well. Worship is virtual; discipleship groups look differently; outreach is taking new shape; and our regular, traditional ways of receiving tithes, gifts, and offerings is shifting. Without in-person worship services, passing a traditional offering plate is quite difficult! We have been encouraged that many church leaders are coordinating new ways of connecting their givers and their resources with vital, life-changing ministries. We have also heard, however, that getting online giving opportunities up-and-running quickly can be a challenge.

In light of these dynamics, your Conference leaders continue to think and pray for creative ways to assist local churches during this season. Your Communications Team has shared resources about online worship. Your Districts have created resource pages with lots of great information. A week ago, your Conference Administrative Teams shared actions they have taken to provide short-run financial relief to churches.

Today, we are excited to share a new opportunity that we hope will help minimize the financial disruption local churches may be experiencing.

How does this work? In short:

  • Pastors share the Online Giving link with their church
  • Givers complete the form and make their donation
  • The Conference Treasurer’s Office receives the funds and then sends those monies to the local church

For a more detailed look at these options and process, please see below: Local Church Online Giving FAQ Sheet

Again, and above all, your Administrative Services Team, CFA, BOP, and other leaders are praying for you and your churches in this unique and challenging season.
